Prized as ornaments for traditional peace belts, necklaces, and chokers, these Clam shell beads offer a timeless beauty with a special significance. This Wampum bead is much more affordable than the authentic highly expensive Quahog wampum bead. Please note that these are Clamshell not mother of pearl imitations. 

Peace belts were presented to other tribes and colonies as a way to seal Peace Treaties. Peace belts, the rows, colors, and symbols have significant connection to each others bands and tribes.  A Peace belt is never ended, thus offer the ability for inclusion.
